Sometimes, it’s difficult to keep your eyes on where you’re going.
We’re all pretty busy looking where we’ve been when we really ought to be looking at where we are RIGHT NOW, and where we’re headed NEXT.
We’ll only get to where we want to be by building on the strengths we create and focus on TODAY … We will NOT get where we really want to be (and deserve to be) buy looking back at all the bullshit and woulda, coulda, shoulda of yesterday, or last week, or last month, or last year.
All that stuff? It’s excess mental baggage, it’s psychological BS, and it’s weighing …
There’s a strange magnetism connected to success and failure.
On one hand there’s the feeling that if you don’t make a go of something, you cannot fail.
Many people use this as an excuse to avoid failure, to, in effect, protect themselves from disappointment and rejection.
While to certain people there may be some sense in this thinking, it’s also counterproductive: it connects and anchors the spirit to be better to the feeling of being, and of wanting to remain, stuck.
This is scarcity thinking; it’s also “that’s not for me, that’s an idea that’s above my station” thinking. Know what this kind of thinking really is? It’s outdated, soul crushing Victorian crap. It’s the British disease of “Shame about the weather, but mustn’t grumble. Eh?”
Here’s a look at one of the things I do: graphic design. This short (under 3 minutes in length) video gives a swift overview of some of the work I’ve produced over the last few years. And I’m available RIGHT NOW to take on a select handful of new clients.
Slots in my calendar don’t come up that often. So, if you want to work with an award winning graphic designer who also GETS the whole world of direct response marketing AND someone that can write compelling copy (that would be me), get in touch (you’ll find contact details at the end of the video).
And I’ll be posting another video featuring my copywriting skills soon. Stay tuned. And PLEASE, leave a comment below. Now, go watch!
We had a house guest up until Sunday lunchtime a week ago.
His name was Teddy, and he was a two year old Corgi. On the Sunday before Teddy’s unexpected arrival I prayed for the first time in over 35 years. I prayed for guidance, for help, for a sign, and for Jesus to show me what to do.
That evening a friend sent an e-mail in which there was an image of an angel along with a short headline that said “When You’re Down to Nothing, God’s up to Something. Worry looks around, sorry looks back, Faith looks up …”
Teddy arrived on the Tuesday evening and he was a …
I’ve been stuck in a rut and trapped in old habit patterns for far too long.
True, I may not have all the power I could wish for, at least, not yet. However, that’s beginning to change and there ARE powerful factors I can and am beginning to exert an influence over.
On our morning walk yesterday my wife said she’s noticed I’m less negative. Do you have any idea how empowering a statement like that is, coming as it does from the person I love and respect most in the world?
It’s a huge, huge thing: a revelation.
I’m now thinking fresher, more vibrant thoughts and I’m looking at old issues from some surprising new perspectives.
For the first time in YEARS, I’m beginning to see REAL options and GENUINE alternatives that a few months ago might well have seemed incredibly remote if not completely far-fetched.
I’m beginning to see and to understand that when (not if), WHEN we’re willing and open to being inventive, optimistic, and creative, SUDDENLY, and as if by magic, the world—our world … MY WORLD is suddenly becoming a more open, friendlier, more relaxed and flexible place.
Two weeks ago today, I lost my job. The first week and a half after the event were rough in lots of ways: emotionally, psychologically, physically and the lows of the last two weeks have been awful.
But now? Now I see I don’t really have a ‘problem’. Now, I see I have a an incredible opportunity.
