Priorities
Imagine making a killing in some huge business deal, only to then lose your sense of fun and your joy of life.
How would that be?
How would your life be if nothing ever made you smile, cry, live, feel or laugh ever again?
What would your life be like if, despite having pots of cash, you suddenly become way too serious, pompous, self centred, and self important?
Could any amount of money or success REALLY make your life better if that’s what you turned into? Could the cash really compensate for you being dull and as miserable as sin?
There are all kinds of things in life that, when we take the time to look at them, count for a darn sight more than many of the other things we’ve been brainwashed into thinking we MUST have. Such as being happy in the now.
No, I’m not going soft in my old age. I’m just urging balance.
Oddly, we don’t value the small things as much as we ought tom. We get all bent out of shape, with the result being that we get our priorities ass backwards. Then we wonder why the hell we’re going down hill, or even backwards. We’ve got all the money and all the stuff but we’re still not happy.
This weekend, go after the stuff that really matters, not the stuff that doesn’t.
